Specialist Tutoring that Starts with the Learner, not the Lesson

For some children with SEND, conventional tutoring can reproduce the same barriers they experience at school. Rachel's specialist tutoring is designed around the individual learner and begins with relationship, trust and an understanding of what helps that child feel safe and able to engage.

Rachel offers in-person tutoring within a 25 mile radius of Tunbridge Wells; covering areas such as Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Crowborough and Maidstone and online tutoring for families further afield. Her background as an English and Drama teacher, combined with extensive SEND and specialist leadership experience, enables her to adapt teaching thoughtfully while maintaining ambition for the learner.

A child's specialist interest can be more than a reward: it can be a bridge to connection, predictability and engagement. Rachel uses knowledge of the individual child to create conditions in which learning feels achievable rather than threatening.
